How does a Lakewood 15330 big block bell housing fit in a 64 B-Body? Anyone have one installed or has had one in a 64? Any tunnel mods necessary?

I don't know the exact model you are talking about. I have two slightly different Lakewood big block blowproof housings. In my experience on the 64/65 you have to beat the little sheet metal seam on the tranny tunnel flat.
This is on cars with the correct K-member. If you have a 66-up K-member on your car it moves the bell back towards the rear and I have heard of people having to heat up the tunnel and beat on it for clearance.
Also, obtaining the correct clutch fork pivot angle is a pain. I recommend talking to Wayne at Brewer's and he can tell you what is needed. For some reason the Lakewood clutch fork pivot is located all wrong for the 64/65 b-body cars with the big block. I don't know about small block...

With the OE K in place I have tons of room on my 65 BB.My Lakewood has been in for probally 25 years. The linkage has to be setup but that was it.Pretty much a bolt in.I have enough room in my tunnel I can take all the top bolts out easy. Now a later K will move it back and probally hit the tunnel. You have to use the correct pivot in the bell also.Mine pretty much dropped in.Rocky

It can also be trubbel whit the headers becas the bellhousing is pretty big diameter by the block face to be abel to bolt together the block saver plate and bellhousing ! My TTi header dident work whit that bellhousing unless cuting some of the block saver plate/bellhousing and this whas in a pretty stock E-Body so i dident use the Lakewwod as i also had to destroy the little sheet metal seam in the tranny tunnel.

My 2 inch TTIs hit on the right side.I had to trim probally 1/8 to 1/4 inch off the bell.If I had smaller tubes it would have cleared.I just feel safe running a shield.Had a clutch explode years ago at idle.Felt like a car bomb going off.Rocky
