Hey,

Question for those who have installed a full floor pan on a B-body, in this case a 69 charger.

I have the pan set in the car and I am making the final adjustments before getting it ready to weld in. I have noticed that the fit at the firewall is not very good. It needs to come down more but I cant get it to do so.

I have read others having fitment issues at the firewall but nobody gets into detail as far as what the issue was or what they did to resolve it.

thanks!!

Tilt the back of the pan up and clamp the pinch seam at the firewall, then stand on the floor pan until it rests on the rockers and frame rails. I did an AMD floor pan and this worked great.

I had the same issue and took some wood pieces (think short 2x4's) and wedged them in between the floor and the dash to push the floor down and then clamped the pinch weld as noted above.

Good suggestions and input since I'll be doing it too (well, having someone do it, but I can pass on the suggestions).

Thanks Pete...
