At the local track I never see any '68-'70 B Bodies being raced. I also never see any E Bodies of any year being raced. What I see is lots of '62-'65 B Bodies, some '66-'67 B-Bodies, and A Bodies of all years.
Just wondering if that's been your experience too? Are the cars not there because they are getting too valuable as collector cars?
Bingo they morphed into trailer queens very sad.

There are a couple of those B bodies that race here, both are very, nice cars. Once in awhile there's an E body that shows up with a Blown Cheby in it (it's already hacked so who cares).
I rarely see any early B bodies, lot's of A's including my own but only a few early A's.

O'side, the local track must be Barona. I ran my E-Body junk there a couple times until it broke. Most Es in the area are restored, that I saw. Aren't there a couple F bodies still running out there?

I like seeing clean B's & E's on the track, but I see the trend too. It wasn't like this before these cars became "investments". I used to run my A-12 hard, but the fun wore off after the value went up. All of these cars were more fun when they weren't worth anything.

I probably race one of the rarest. 3,811 were made in 79.

I race mine!... not a dedicated race car, and not real fast!
I have raced Bob and I can say he is not afraid to run a E-body hard.
67satty come out to Irwindale there are normally a few Bs out on thursday nights, but a lot more of us A-body guys.
What's Irwindale like? How does it compare to Barona in terms of track prep/traction, air, shut down area, etc? Thanks!

I have only been to Barona a couple of times (I have to remember details).
Irwindale is not as wide. Shut down is as long (or longer). But with a small bump.
It is all paved. Track prep can be a issue at times they don't have enough equip. and thursdays there are street tired cars, but I have 60' there as good as anywhere.
It is next to the freeway, and cost $20 for a fun night($20 more for king of the hill bracket race)
