My birthday today... Got the seat belts and interior all back in the car, set off for my maiden voyage of the car finally basically all back together and finished...

REALLY wish I would have remembered to put the hood pins in...

Anyone have a green original paint '62 plymouth hood?

Bummer, good luck on finding a hood. When I was 15 my friend's older brother was going down Central (Dallas) in a 69 RR way over 100, had the hood fly off, amazingly noone ran over it. We just picked it up. put it back on the car and drove slowly home, it only dented the corners.

Yeah just stupid. Honestly I haven't had the hood open for weeks because I've been working on the carpet, seat belts, rear axle, and windshield. At some point they obviously came out and didn't go back in.

At least it didn't break my 3 day old windshield... lol

Oh well... still going to try and make it to Milan on Wednesday for some test and tune. Don't need a hood for that right?

Bang it out and put it back on there - might help with the sleeper image...can always fix it later if you decide to paint the rest of the car.

Hammer it out or put it in the press and run it with some wrinkles....I hear they come with age. Sorry about the mishap, I really like your project.

I think it just adds to sleeper look, few dents cant hurt. Let us know how it runs at the track.
