Every block I've checked has at least one cylinder with thin spots. Best one I have is over .200" on all but one major thrust wall, & it checks at .169" before boring. dogdays I Live Here D Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 16,376	Pick the block with the best 7 holes and sleeve the 8th. What you are finding seems to be very typical for 400 blocks. Use a quality ductile iron sleeve. R.

That would leave me about .154". Help! How much power are you wanting to make and is the motor N/A or are you going to use a power adder? If N/A and below 800 HP use the one you have I have several that where close to that thick on the worst cylinders, no problems yet making over 725 HP on both, 845 HP on one IHTHs If you where to sleeve it it would still be thinner when done than it is now Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
