they are made in Mexico now and loose the "springyness".
Yes this was 12 years ago but they were still good when I sold the car. Also you can have them put what ever size arch you want in them. I wanted the car to sit lower so I have very little arch.
another company took off on us??? shame
I had Eaton make up the leafs on my Camaro about 14 years ago..I had them de-arch 2", meaning one leaf had to go, so now there's 4 instead of 5...
there is no loss or sagg in them and I use Cal-Tracs and a stabilizer bar...
I feel they are AWESOME

Forgive me please, but you are talking about Landrum Springs being your choice 12 years back correct? I know the current SS springs are made in Mexico and are junk before long. I just want to get a set of either NOS 457-456 SS springs from back in the day or get a set made from places like Landrum. Eaton Detroit Spring came into question because I travel to Detroit most often.
Landrum was my choice 12 years ago. It was my chassis guys reconmendation.
eaton is in the Ghetto but good place to do biz with. Didn't think of the one in Madison hts. good call.

I bought a set of stock HD suspension spec leafs for my 66 New Yorker from Eaton about 6 years ago and I was a little underwhelmed to say the least. The only difference between the humped over backward 40 year old originals and the new ones was the nearly $400 I payed for them. Dropped the jack after install and there was the bumper at about the same ride height as before . In fairness to Eaton I never called them because the springs sat in my shop for over a year before I installed them so I can't comment on customer service. They were decent enough to deal with as far as the buying went . Kevin

Hi, Yes I think Eaton Detoit Spring is pretty good. But I am bias for I own Eaton Spring, a company my Grandfather started way back in 1937. To start all our springs are Made In The USA. We have over 24,000 OEM spring prints dating back to the 1890's. Plus we can design and make almost any spring anyone would desire. In fact we have a line of performance springs which out perform even the original SS springs. While our plant is in Detroit, across the street for the old Tiger Stadium site, it is along way from being in the ghetto. And Twostick if you had called us you would have found out our customer service is excellent. Mike Eaton
Manufacturer of Leaf Springs, Coil Springs and Attaching Hardware since 1937.
