Ok, so I am tuning my holley and making good strides.

One issue I am havingis with a part throttle input / crusie.

When I give a very light throttle input, with on take off or while cruising, I have a lean spot (verifyed with an O2 meter) hich is causign the car to stutter for a second or too. With the red accel pump cam, the lean spot seems to be at the 1200 RPM ranger or so.

When I go WOT from idle, I have not hesitation or lean spot, in fact the meter reads rich for a few seconds.

So, I am not sure where I need to look to fix this small lean spot. I want to go to a smaller acce pump nozzel to addres the WOT rich ccondition. also a smaller primery jet to address the rich crusie condition that I am seeing. But I am nervous that it wil make my lean spot worse.

Any ideas.

Here are my current specs:

74 Cuda with a 360,
Eddy Performer RPM intake,
Eddy torker Plus cam,
The specs are as follows:
@050 Int dur. 222 , Ex dur. 234
Lift Int .447 Ex .450
Intake Centre line 107 Ex centerline 116.
About 9:1 compression.
Holley 750 vac secondary carb.
red pump cam
5.5 PV
70 main jet
31 accl nozel
Dizzy has been recurved, running 22 initial, 38 total all in before 3000.
727 with stock converter
8-3/4 with 3.22s

That 5.5 power valve is your problem. Try going with a 7.5 valve.

Light throttle lean at off idle or at light throttle at low rpm cruise is usually the transition circuit is too lean. Adjust your idle mixture screws and/or IFR. You might need to have a slightly fatter idle A/F to clear it up.
