I thought I had posted this earlier so forgive me if this is a duplicate.

I have a 69 superbee I am beginning to bring back to life. It has a perfect flat hood on the car but after staring at the front end in the rear view mirror for 2 hours while towing the car home, it struck me that the hood on the car is from a 68 coronet and doesn't have the extra drop down on the front edge of the hood to conform to the 69 grill. My question is, is that extra piece a bolt on or are 68 and 69 hoods completely different? In other words, can I convert the 68 hood to work on a 69 or is it time to go fish?

thanks.

There is a piece that screws on to the front of the hood to take up the gap.
Have one laying around if you need one, PM me.

The 68 and 69 hoods are basically the same , the drop down in the front is a SCREW ON part that is added to the hood for 69.

So yes you can get the part and install it on the 68 hood.

My got me tree'd
