What type of fastener was used to hold the inserts to the hood . Also is there a gasket between the hood and insert .

Fastener is a PAL nut. think these are them.

If not R/T spec does have the right ones just need to measure for right PAL nut size...

Just go to your local paint and body shop supply store and you can get the palnuts.
