I'm installing a new 1 piece factory type 3/8" fuel in in my 71 Challenger.

Unfortunately I didn't take good enough pictures before removing the original fuel line and now I can't figure out how the fuel line routes next to the stock return line..,under it, over it, next to it. .

So if anyone can post some good detailed pics of the factory fuel/return line routing front to back I would greatly appreciate it.

I guess you can't see my pictures? I know we PMed back and forth? IS IT BECAUSE MY PICTURES ARE NOT A ATTACHMENT? Should they be?

Look at my recent posts and I posted many pictures of late and early fuel lines, like 6 pictures in at least 2 separate posts. One of them was your post.

Good luck...

I've tried to view those pictures on a few different computers with no luck, I saw them when you first made that post awhile back, but now they're not coming up.
I sure would like to see them.
I can see the pics of your Challengers and your dragster in all your posts.

Here is the post if anyone can view Challenger 1's pics please repost them or PM or e-mail them to me.

I'm trying to determine how the lines are oriented when they go through the hole in the crossmember..is one on top of the other or are they side by side, if they're side by side which one is closest to the rocker(towards the outside of the car)
Then which line is closest to the rocker as they go towards the rear of the car, then how are they oriented when they go up the rear frame rail.

You need to get yours up in place and see how they are gonna fit, that's going to dictate how they go in.
The one's that went on my 71 fell into place and it's very apparent which goes where and where all the clips go.
The lines fit different on my 74, but not big deal to me. They still bolted in in the same places.
Time is a wasting...
Can you see this picture?

I ordered lines for a 71 hemi, that got me a 3/8 suction, 1/4 return that connects to the vapor separator up front that is bolted to the fuel pump. The other end went back to the fuel tank sending unit which had a 1/4 return nipple. Just like all the repos do today. Back in the day only hemis and 440/6 got a sending unit with 2 nipples because they had a return line.

Then the 3rd line is the vent line that connects to the rear vapor separator and then in the front it connects to the breather on the passenger valve cover up on the engine.

Not saying any of this is exactly as it came from the factory, just the way my lines fit. Wish I would have reused my original clamps too. Still have them in good shape and was lazy and didn't clean them up.
Look at my dates, I had it togeather wrong at first and then as time went on, I changed it. Get yours in place and see how it fits.

Again, thanks for posting your pictures, Gary. Although it might not be the same for my 71 B-body (should be similar), it still makes me over yours. I'm at the point to replacing my lines soon.

to Gary!

WOW
Thanks for the pics.

I'm gonna have to look at the pics a few times to get past how clean everything looks.

Been working on the wife's car all morning...installing wheel arch moldings on her new 2013 Subaru Outback.
Then went after the fuel line, got it 80% in but nowhere near as nice or clean as your setup.

Gonna install the fuel tank next.
Getting real close to installing the drivetrain.

Thanks for the repost of the pics. I kept the earlier ones you posted 3 or more years ago. In my opinion, its the visual standard on how to do much of this stuff correctly. My 70 California RT has the same set up. At first I wondered what the black plate that bolts just behind the passenger fenderwhell was for. Mine was in a box. Seeing yours in the pic made things crystal clear. I am going thru my old memory sticks and pray I have more pics of your resto. Its good a few hours out in the garage when I see them. Hope I havent lost them. The pics have always been great quality too.

Thanks guys, it's the gold color that makes it look so clean.

Glad to help, that's what this is about.

Challenger 1 thanx a Million for these pictures. I'm working on a California car 70 Challenger SE 383. Brake and fuel lines were off the car when I got it.
