Any one have or know the dome light wire harness routing for a 70' Challenger. Mine has been out for so many years I forgot where it all goes. I am getting ready to install a new headliner & want to get this all routed first. Any tips or tricks before I install the headliner beside let a professional do it? Sorry, a pro is not in the budget. I can only afford to do it myself.

dome light wire runs across the middle roof support toward drivers side- is connected with the welded on wire clips on the roof support. The wire thenruns down along inner roof line on drivers side and then down the sail panel area and attaches to rear harness at the forward part of the trunk.

BTW: I had a "professional" install the last headliner in a 70 Charger last year for $150. And yes this was a professional at an upholstery shop. Not some hack. I would spend the money and have it done correctly. I've done about 10 E-body headliners myself including Two in OE builds and I've now come to the realization that its money well spent to have a pro do it.

Issues with doing it yourself. -
Wrinkles in the material. (headliner comes boxed and will have creases and wrinkles) Impossible to get out without steaming.
Not getting the headliner streatched in all the correct places.
Not having access to the same glues used by the pros. Spray-can headliner glue sucks. I could go on.

Just installed one today in a 70 challenger i am no pro but it went in easy. Just lay it out in sun a few hours before makes it easy to pull.Start at #4 bow pull to front, clip in place pull sides and clip in place. Tip go to a office supply store buy binder clips med size 15 for $3.50 use them to hold everything in place until you get the headliner where you want it then glue the edges. Take your time and it will turn out great. If you have any wrinkles heat with hair dryer and work them out before you glue. The rear sail panel area is the last part you need work.

Not a great photo, but the solid magic marker line shows where it comes up from the wheel well. The dash lines show where it was behind the inner structure.
