This build is so awesome! Some very crazy fab work to make this all fit. Did/ are you going to have to mess with the rear axle assy due to the wider width of the LX platform? That was one of the reasons I did not try to make the LX rear end fit in my swap.
I got 26 mpg right out the gate from my 5.7/NAG1 swap. It will be interesting to see how your build does. Since it has all the basic LX drive train It will be good all ready. Are you going to be able to eliminate.e the smog stuff?

Thanks Darius. Nope, everything stock SRT8. Just had to play with the backspacing on the wheels to make everything fit.

Don't want to eliminate any emission's equipment. Part of the reason for doing a full late model. No stink from gas vapors, no stink or death from the exhaust, etc.. This is a late model car with all the thinks that make a late model nice to have!

Not yet. Their shop is a little behind on schedule. They decided to remove all the seam sealer and acoustic patches from the LX portion of the car due to the heat from baking the powder coat epoxy. That took them a few days longer and pushed the car out of rotation for coating. Better them than me!!!

The grafting of the old and the new is awesome! It has been done before but this is the best I have seen!
Good luck with the build!

Thanks. Should have stripped the car before starting. Customer bought it under the impression it was ready to paint. After welding in the rocker beams, the heat flaked the primer off the rocker. Underneath was unscuffed original B5 blue. Knew at that point a total strip was going to be needed. Found many areas that surface rust had been primed over.

It will need a full right side quarter due to a very poorly installed skin, but everything else is workable.

Next up is seam sealer and coating the bottom with bedliner. Customer wants a driver, not a show car. VERY happy to accommodate this!!! Install suspension and roll it off to body and paint.
