I just picked up a great little '87 Dakota for projects around the house. I noticed today that the fuel tank is cracked at the very top and when the tank is full, it leaks from the crack at a pretty good clip. It appears to be a plastic tank. Any suggestions on how to fix it or where I can find a new one??

junk yards for a used one. I have a 15 gallon tank that was on my truck when I got it. I was parting out another Dakota and swapped the 22 gallon tank of of it into my blue truck. the 15 gallon tank is in great shape if you're interested.

or you can try to use an epoxy or glue to seal it. some guys have "plastic welded" them as well with a soldering iron.
