Did fury's come with DANA rear ends and if they did, what is the conversion process to put them in a b-body?

also, what is a fair price for the whole rear end unit with axles diff and brakes etc????, again if it exists

is a 9 1/4 the same as a DANA???

Thanks for any help on this

Wasn't there a special Dana rear used in the mid 60's Fury's and Polara's? Like a Dana 50 or something?

That would be correct,67 and possibly 68,4spd only and they will bolt right in an early B-body.Available with 3.31 or 3.73 gears,Dana Power Lock ,10 bolt cover. They are rare.

Actually a Dana 53 that had a 9.25 ring gear and only used in 440 4 spd cars IIRC

If the car still exsists with the dana 53 it has to be a 440 4 speed C body. whats it coming out of any pics???? very very rare. save it.

I have one in my 68 sport fury 440 4speed rag.

I believe a 67 C Body with a factory towing package would also have a D53.

A little curious now.The rear I have came out of a 66 Hemi Belvedere that was raced on a dirt track in Selinsgrove,PA back in the early 70's.Ring gear is dated 4/10/66,kind of early for a 67 model year vehicle, housing has 44" spring pad location and the housing was never modified,10" brakes, wheel cylinders were original with Chrysler casting numbers, flange U bolt not strap.Bolted right into my 62 Savoy wagon.

Could there have been other limited applications ?

I looked in a HOLLANDER book I have & typed all the part numbers and components, but it disappeared when I hit "submit".

3.31:1 ONLY
Note: ring gear diameter is 9-1/4"

Chrysler '67 non-removable carrier
Dodge pass '67-'68 Polara & Monaco non-removable carrier
Plymouth pass '67-'68 Fury & VIP non-removable carrier

I have an NOS C-body Dana 53 housing. It takes the same pinion snubber as a passenger car Dana 60.

That is what it is supposed to be but the one I have fits an early b-body without any modifications, the above won't.
