I am fabbing up the crossmember for my four speed. Car is a 65 coronet, with a 67 coronet K frame, so some fab work is needed.

Its been along time since I had a 4 speed in any mopar let alone this set up. Seems like the tail shaft is over towards the passenger side. I have the trans way up in the tunnel right now, and it gives a better idea of how much it is moved over. Since I am fabbing the crossmember, and my original isnt anywhere near close enough to tell, I am not sure if this slight issue is normal or not.
I believe my motor mounts are in correct, and the K frame is in correct.

It looks alot closer ( to the proper location) when the trans is at the proper height

Thoughts?

I used to care but....... things have changed

the engine trans is offset to passenger side to begin with. Looks like you are using a B/E 4 speed , have you tried an automatic crossmember from a 66-69 B body ?

Also I thought there was a conversion mount to take care of this , putting a 67 up K in a 65 ??

Might be a conversion mount, I am not sure. I dont have 66/67 cross member either.

I have another 65 cross member I have cut up and a FJM cross member I cut he guts out of, looks like a hybrid will work.

Thanks.
