Shoulda included pic of build sheet I found in Car... Don't think it's the right one, but am showing pic anyway.. Thought it would be nice to have a repo for the sake of settling arguments with idiots who want to argue about what came from the Factory on this Car was only reason I wanted a Build Sheet..I am the second owner, and the person who did all the resto work, the Car belonged to My Neighbor who bought It new...

If a guy name Daryl contacts you beware that his sheets are inaccurate and can be spotted as fakes (oh, and he charges $500.00 for them as well)

FWIW The simple fact remains; If you don't have the original sheet there is no possible way of reproducing one that is undeniably 100% accurate. Also, if word gets out that you are attempting to obtain one you (and your cars) reputation will be in serious jeopardy! There is only one true purpose to make a fake sheet, fruad!

Galen Govier is a self proclaimed expert on getting reproduction paperwork such as buildsheets. But type his name into archive search. More BAD than good concerning this guy.

Galen WILL NOT help you obtain a Broadcast Sheet! He's entirely against them being reproduced (as many of us are).

But will make you a fender tag...I don't see the difference

You either got it or you don't.

Actually there is a huge difference between a fender tag and a broadcast sheet and if you don't recognize (I'll assume you do) then you have a lot to learn.

Yes Galen will have a fender tag made for you if you provide him with the appropriate data (but he doesn't make them himself). Or you can get one made yourself by going direct (several sources). No, I don't think it's a good idea for him to do so but I'm not him.

To the OP. Just save your original sheet (in pieces) put it in an acid free plastic sheet protector (don't laminate it). Make a few high resoloution color scans of it and store the original as is. Avoid tape glue, or anything else and preserve what's left of it.

When it comes to a Broadcast Sheet the ONLY thing that matters is it's originallity and the info it contains, having it all perfect and pretty is not the important issue. If you have a nice one that's great, if you don't, oh well, it is what it is.

How's this ??

"Rats ate my fender tag." To be fair, I’ve been in the automotive field for longer than I’d care to remember. I got started selling in Las Vegas, but one of my top sites sells fender tags nationwide, and they are very good tags. However, this customer (who shall remain nameless) sent me an email asking for a refund because in the hills of California, there are rats, and they ate his fender tag. His logic was that since the tag was on the car outside, and rats live outdoors, then he should get a refund because the manufacturer should design to protect the tag against outdoor animals. Our response: Sorry, fender tagsare not tested on animals. Can you imagine if we had to test our products on everything from Deer to Mountain Lions and Kodiak Bears? For one thing, the folks at PETA would start throwing paint on our fender tags and calling us murderers. For another thing, rats also live indoors, on ships, and inside popular NYC restaurants, and if they can eat through sheet metal, even the best metal and synthetic materials won’t stop them. Even now, years after the fact, I can’t get over this little customer service tidbit.

Rats ate the BUILD SHEET, not the fender tag - if there were metal eating rats on the loose, we should all be scared...

Well goats ate my VIN tag and they ate the VIN off of my engine and then ate the assembly date info off of the pad...........and then went after the trans numbers for dessert..............

Not a fair statement for Dave who I know is well aware of fender tags, broadcast sheets and DOCUMENTING REAL MOPARS for many, many years!

The thing that I find really funny about all of this and positions people take on making fender tags and broadcast sheets is very few if anyone ever has a negative word to say about making up a fake Federally mandated document and it costs less most times to have one made than a metal tag and you can have it made ANYWAY YOU WANT WITH ANY OPTION YOU LIKE IT TO HAVE AND WITHOUT ANY PROOF WHAT SO EVER....you can even pick the dealer that sold it even if they didn't....okay back to the fun of "the dog ate my homework"

But some people send him sheets found in their cars that are for another car,I know I did. He's supposed to help reunite them with the correct car. Whether this ever happens, who knows.
