Ran a new personal Best today in the Cuda at SIR 8.62 at 156mph with a 1.21 sixty foot. DA was 3,000 feet and temp was 68.5 degree F, with 42.8% humidity. Here is a video of the run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLpQda4m4y0&feature=plcpThanks to everyone here on Moparts that have helped with suggestions and ideas along the way. I had the front travel limited to 3", and 2 flats preload on the right ladder bar. Frt shocks at 8 ext and 9 comp. Rear shocks at 8 ext and 7 comp. 10psi in the tires. Thanks also to Mike Roth at Mr 2 performance for the suspension set up help. Now. i just have to get rid of the bump steer when I land the wheelie... Cheers, Arnie

Arnie you are making some serious steam! Congrats on getting it sorted out. When you figure the DA, there is another .07 to .12 in it at sea level! What tire and gear are you running? Stall speed?

Good to hear! You have made a lot of progress this year, and getting the chassis dialed-in took some effort.
Awesome sixty foot! I bet that first shift comes real fast.
Are my notes correct on your cam duration? Custom LSM roller 288/304 dur @ .050"

Jim, the cam is a custom LSM roller 288/304 dur @ .050", .875"/.867" lift, 114 lsa installed at 112 cl. 68 degrees overlap, 4/7 and 2/3 swap, 54mm core.
Thanks for measuring your front travel for me and all the advice! I ended up at 3" travel and it still wheelies pretty high, so i will probably tighten the frt shocks one more click on the ext next time and see what happens...
What do you think about the incrementals? Best sixty foot of the day was an 1.19, but I waited too long to shift into 2nd, so was not the fastest ET.
Cheers,
Arnie

My commet would beit is working pretty well. My bext 60 with my slug is 1.18 and that was an 8.0 pass. The glide and gear dont help for sure with my car. Keep chipping away at it.
We are curently changing the rear set up in the small tire car in an effort to make it more consistent in the first 60 and it is a similar set up to yours. Ladder bar and good front shock. I feel we are way to aggressive with the ladder bars so going to lower the front mounting point and go back to square one.

Jim, it went 1.212 sixty foot, 5.506 1/8 mile ET at 125.99mph then 8.629 at 156.06 mph for the 1/4.
I need to look at the slip for the 330 and 1,000...
Comments?
Well 8.629/5.506=1.567 and I think that shows it is still making good ET the second half of the track.
156.06-125.99= 30.07 mph gain on the second half and that sounds about right and confirms the first thought.
Sixty target = 8.629*.12 + 0.17 = 1.205 and you are right there, confirming a good sixty foot time.
And from the video, I thought the wheel stand was just fine, not excessive for a ladder bar car.

Here is another video from later in eliminations when they had re-prepped the track. Don't you think this is too much wheelie??? It actually bounced into a second smaller wheelie after the first touch down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBVztUgqwys&feature=plcp

Great job dialing in your suspension. Car sounds great as well. Videos are a great motivator to get me working on my car as well.
