My first car was a 70 Belvedere police unit. RK VIN. The cars with 383 and AC were non HP units painted blue.
My 69 Superbee factory AC car is also a non hp engine painted turquiose and not orange.
If that care was not 3000 miles away it would be in my driveway. And yes they were basically 4 door RR's. I had mine fitted with a GTX front clip and tailights and had the buckets and center console installed.
77 Macho Power Wagon LWB factory 440
70 Coronet 440 N code 3 speed

I don't think this car was LAPD. All of the LAPD cars I have seen have been green, and the axle code on the tag is 999 due to the rear sway bar. Plus I believe 1970 was the last year for drum brakes, this car has discs. It is still a legit RK41N car though, which is awesome. Would like to see what agency used this car. There was a legit LAPD Belvedere for sale at The Nats. I used to own a 1970 Plymouth Satellite that was a Seattle PD traffic car, it was a cool car to drive. The Seattle Police Museum has since bought it and restored it back to in service condition. Here is a link to the info on the car, I took the pic in 1999. http://www.seametropolicemuseum.org/docs/Seattle_Police_Car.pdf

Interesting.
Do the SO numbers on the data tag correspond to any particular agency or special fleet custom buyer. I thought some of the LAPD and CHP cars were built to each agencies custom spec.
Also, could you decode that tag I posted? I don't know what the F codes stand for. I took that tag from a Satelite in the Wilmington, CA Pick A Part "big yard" in about 1989 or so.

the 1969 "US BORDER PATROL" Plymouth Belvedere POLICE 2-seat station wagon does this look correct? 11126 173399 9A162633 + 900 595 091 **** 26
99 99 L2T T7 RK45 E63 D32 B04 970004900 = 383 4bbl (330hp) turquoise engine without A/C (STD production # for b-bodies) 595 = 3.23 s/g 11" drums big u-joint (STD production # for b-bodies) 091 = 727 for (non-HP) 383 4bbl #2892091 (STD production # for b-bodies) 99 = "special order paint" color of the tag looks like FLEET color EF4 "light green" The transmission number is the same as '69 383 a-bodies GOT PICS??

Thanks, N41 makes more sense.
Also, did the B42 HD disk come with 11" rear brakes like the T/A-AAR's had?
I can picture the gold Satelite police car in my head. But I can't remember if I got any parts off it. I was looking for 71 383 HP motor to replace the .040 motor in my Challenger R/T.
Got a 71 383 HP short block about that same time out of a 71 Polara "K" code car with like 70K original miles. Shame the car was in the yard, it was a very nice car. I should have just honed the block, but machine shop "convinced" us to rebuilt it. I say "K" code because the car was all white, had cloth insert seats, no light bar holes, Goodyear high miler hoses. The guy who spotted the car thought it was a Fire Chief's car or someone of that nature. It didn't seem to have been used for real Police duty. That guy got the fender tag.

Can you get a clear photo of the whole tag?
Yes.
But it's at my parent's house. Maybe later this week.

saw the topic and thought I'd add a bit. I own a 70 Plymouth Belvedere 4 dr ex colorado pursuit car. RK41NOA. 383 4 barrel car, has the factory front disc brakes, large rear drums, front sway bar, doesn't look like it ever had a rear sway bar, hemi torsion bars, 80 lb oil pressure dash gauge, white exterior, brown interior, radio delete, non air, nice original rubber mat floor covers, spotlights, SPD 7/4/70. Bought as a project, was sitting around for several years. Has a fender tag, don't have in front of me right now.
