My bro just bought a '69 Roadrunner and he wants to change out the wheels and tires. He wants to use 255/60/15's on the rear and 215/70/15's on the front. Will there be any issues with the 215's rubbing the front fenders? The tires are BFG T/A's and are mounted on 15X7 Keystone Klassics.

I have a 69' Roadrunner with 15" steel wheels and BFG 215/70/15 tires. There are no problems with clearance.

225/70's will work fine in front, maybe rub in an extreme turn situation. Candidly, the 215's will look a little small given you going larger on the back (IMO).

In back 275/60 is pretty much the "default" size that will nicely fill the wheel well.

I'm using 225/60-15's on 15x7 wheels up front and 255/60-15's on 15x8.5 on the rear with no problems. Could even go with 275/60-15's on the same 15x8.5 wheels on the rear if he wanted to.

215/70-15 should be no problem.
