Anyone have some real world experiance with this? I have a new 451 with a hyd roller cam that I'm almost ready to fire. It has a new Milodon bronze gear in it now. Should I get a Crane set up? I'm not into being a guinea pig... I can't afford to do this twice?

Comments?
Thanks Brad

I bought the Crane gear. It comes without the shaft. I couldn't find a source to purchase a shaft. I removed a gear from a shaft I had. But there's no easy way the salvage the pin. The pin is not a standard roll pin. It appears the fit between the gear and the shaft is an "interference" fit.

To make a long story short putting the gear on the shaft appears to be a job for a machine shop.

By the way, the instructions say not to use the gear on a cam that has already been used with another type of gear.

Thanks for the reply! Ya I read that about not using it on a used cam. Bummer about not supplying it with the shaft. Not very good marketing IMO?

I believe either Milodon or Moroso used to sell Mopar oil pump shafts minus the gear. I can't find them in either of their catalogs anymore.
