I picked up 7/10 from mild port 346 heads with large valves to the MCH port RPM's milled to 76 cc and a torker to a victor manifold. The shims are the steel .020 head gaskets, i copper coated them. I reckon even if you get 10.80 that's 4/10 improvement, also it's a bit of extra street cred, when someone asks you how quick it is and you tell them it's a 10 second car. Mick

I got my engine pretty much back together... gotta put the pan on it with a couple of bolts then try the oil pressure... if thats fine then I'll put the intake on and finish it up.... I'll let ya know what day the dyno will run... Dale wants to come watch also

Good luck with the engine Mike
Thanks... I'll find out tomorrow if what I did this time is going to work and make it worth while... all I need to do is put the pan on and prime it to find out... I know the rings will work but I also had a low oil pressure issue which I believe was sloppy lifter bushings... I'll see

Thanks Mick! I'd be VERY HAPPY with 10.80's! Sounds like you're happy with Jeff's work! Mike...let us know how the oil pressure turns out.... I'm sure it'll be fine! Can't wait to see the dyno numbers next week! .....REAL curious to see just how "friendly" St. Clair's dyno is.
I think I'm gonna take my gas 1050 dom and my adapter to see what the difference is over the 850... I'm curious to see if its friendly or not... doesnt matter to me much... Sean thinks it should exceed my wants but we'll see

Randy, What did the machine shop use for a head gasket, fasteners, fastener lube and torque values when the block was honed with a plate? Any deviation from these values can cause cylinder bore distortion in my view. If the shop used the same head gasket, torqued the same fasteners to 70# with 30 weight oil and honed...... Then you torque the heads to 75# with ARP lube..... I'd be getting my dial bore out to check the cylinder especially on a stock block. JMO
