I'm replacing some junk parts I installed over 10 yrs. ago to get the car drive able. I spent 2 hours yesterday carefully cutting off a stripped rear axle lug & stud without destroying my aluminum wheels(3/4 of a roll of blue painters tape, cardboard, and a high speed cut-off wheel)I'm looking to install a set of QUALITY wheel studs into my 1968 Plymouth 5 X 4" axles. Aside from which studs should I go with ( ARP, Moroso, Jegs, etc....) what diameter? According to what I can tell, the diameter is 486". Am I right? And will the 3 1/2" long wheel studs clear my stock dog dishes?

Thanks for any/ all help!

Out of necessity I found out
Stock are .472" dia.
Advertised replacement
Moroso # 46-150 7/16"-20 .480" dia.

Now to pull the axles & press them in.

I recommend anti-seize. Moroso studs are notorious for galled theads.

FWIW I used the MP/Mancini 3" studs front and rear without problem.
