im also considering a doublepumper. in the near future i wanna get the heads ported and get new tti headers. prolly a different cam after the heads get ported. so i would have to get a carb that would work on the motor now and after the upgrades.

thank you, a buddy from another board pretty much picked out everything so i cant take credit. she runs real good but im having issues with the secondaries. they appear to be not opening at all after doing the paper clip trick. i might just replace the diaphram and see if that changes anything. that or get a doublepumper haha.

Yeah, don't be afraid of sticking a 850 double pumper on it. It will like it.

Welcome. My old 440 build was close to yours but I used ported 906 heads. I would think you will be in the 475 hp area at the flywheel. Good luck. Ron

should run good. The Proform actually makes your carb flow 823cfm. And don't worry anout those 1 3/4" headers, I run 11.30's w/ them. go have some fun.

Cam is a bit small for your gear IMO but should have tons of mid range and rpm quick.

Headers are fine for a street car.

Porting the heads would'nt hurt.

I would get the carb dialed in first.

Then change one thing at a time so you know what works/doesent work.

A 750 is fine for your cam and headflow. With ported heads and/or one size larger cam I might consider an 850 DP with a 4 speed and 4.11 gears.

You get it dailed in it can run mid 11's. I used the 1-3/4 headers on my old 440 and it ran 11.49 @ 116 best. They worked fine for my street car with mild heads. I went to 2" with this eng but I use EZ heads on this eng. You will be fine with the 1-3/4. Ron
