Which ones are best - square groove or round groove and 7 degree or 10 degree. Application specific? Thanks, John

Round groove with super 7's are the best IMO. Round groove makes for a stronger valve, and a super seven has the contact patch of the 10 degree locks but the retainer is stronger because the 7 degree angle allows for more meat in important areas.

7* is basically production and is fine with light
spring pressure but when going up in pressure the
wider angle of the super 7* is better but if big spring
pressure the 10* is better due to less chance of pull
through... pressure will dictate

Ok, thanks guys. I'm running pretty low spring pressures, so I will stick with my round groove 7* stuff.

Definitely the round groove. Besides making the valve stronger, I think they are also a lot easier to get apart when its time for a rebuild.
