I have a '75 440 in a C body that I'm trying to take the A/C off and run an idler bracket. Does it exist?

Thanks

Yes, but, finding one might be tough. On mid-'70's big block PU trucks that had no AC but had PS, this bracket was used to hang the power steering pump from (truck require the pump be higher for frame clearance). On Mid-'70's big block cop cars that had the 100 amp alternator but no AC, the same bracket was used, but with an idler pulley mounted to it.

I have the cop car set up on my wagon right now until I fix the AC........

I got mine off a cop car I had back about '86 or so.

Hope this helps.

The one you're using, it doesn't mount the P/S, correct?

Correct. I'm using the common car style PS pump mounts which are totally independent of this bracket. The truck type PS brackets are different (shorter), and if you try to use it in a car, the PS pump pulley will be into the side of the battery.

Sorry, no chance on selling the bracket. Its a fairly simple design, someone with decent metal working skills should be able to make one.
