Dave Duell Classic Update"
I had a phone meeting with the NMCA this morning to complete our game plan for the "Dave Duell Classic" in Bowling Green this August 2-5, 2012.
As many of you know this is the top NSS event of the year. This is the 7th year of the "Dave Duell Classic" and we have worked hard to insure that the NSS racer has the best racing experience possible. So here is what is on tap for this year.

The format: Thursday you can arrive. We will have our own parking area on the grass. When you enter the gate NMCA personel will direct you to the NSS parking area and we will park you. You can register on Thursday. You do not have to be a NMCA member to race NSS at this event. You will able to get your car teched on Thursday. If you cant make it Thursday parking on Friday is no problem. Friday you will get 2 qualifying passes. Saturday morning you will make you 3rd qualifying pass. Around noon we will have first round of class runoffs. This first round of class will also be your 4th qualifying pass. Class runoffs and the FX shootout will continue throughout the afternoon till we have winners in all classes. About 7:30 we will have our NSS dinner. BBQ, beer and soft drinks will be served to all NSS racers, crew, family, sponsors and friends. Door prizes will be given away at the dinner. Sunday morning will be first round of eliminations. Eliminations will continue till we have a winner.

So what can you win?

Lets start with class runoffs. Thanks to Victory Performance, Mancini Racing, A and A Transmission and a silent sponsor we $1800 payout for the 6 NSS classes. The winner of every class will get $200 and Runner up $100.
Next the Opel Engineering FX Shootout. Ted at Opel has again provided $1500 the exciting FX Shootout. Winner will get $1000 runner up $300 and semi-finalists $100.
Sundays eliminations thanks to Indy Cylinder Head our class sponsor and the NMCA have put up over $8700 in total prize monies. Winner will get a whopping $4000, runner up $1500 semi finals $500 1/4s $250 and $150 in the 1/8s.

Door prizes at the dinner....
Brand new torque converter from ATI worth a $1000
Racers oil package from Hollingsworth Oil worth $400
$500 Gift certificate from TTI exhaust
Free header coating from Nitroplate worth $380
3- $100 certificates for coating from Nitroplate
There will be more door prizes coming!

So lets review the $$$$ you can win $8700 Sundays prize money
$1800 NSS class run off prize money
$1500 FX Shoot out prize money
------
$12000 Total prize money
plus $2580 in door prizes at the NSS dinner
------

Also Sundays winner get a NHRA WALLY!

We had over 60 cars at last years event but we need to get to the 80 cars level we had at St. Louis. We need every NSS racers support!
