There's a duplicate post on this subject that pops up now and then. I called e-brock last week, but couldn't get the phone jockey to put me in touch with anyone that might know something. Only said probably this fall.

Pro Port would be my preference as I'm only running a 4.030 bore and I don't want to deal with the valve shrouding with the included big valve. I'll probably just run oval indy's though, as I know they'll make an easy 600 hp with port work and I've already done two sets.

Educate me on the "pro port" please...

Sold the last set of W5's we had and am looking for something similar and it sounds like these may fit the bill..... or not. It seems that there isn't a small block head out there that does not have some sort of downfall. Pourous core shifted low quality aluminum W5's, Indy heads that are leaking coolant, I'm afraid to buy a "used" set of W8's, there are new W9's available, but after our W5's and Stage VI's do I REALLY want to go down the Mopar Performance road again??? Honestly I see why people are putting GM based race engines in A bodies.

If I remember correctly, the pro port heads include guides or machine work for guides. I don't believe seats are installed or included and the chambers don't resemble anything familiar. Hence, pro port. Requires lots of work to make usable but if competent, finished results are exactly what you want.

Okay. I'll ask him for more details.

Didn't ask a lot of questions.

Will get back to you.

At least if you are asking Chris they might get a little hint that their might be some demand out there for these. We're buying a new crank for our old 360 we used to run (found a crack). At least that will get us back up and running.....just not near as much fun as that 340 W5 stroker was though.

My guess is that a Pro port is very small cast port that NEEDS cnc'ed to make usable and to tailor it to certain needs, ala W8.
