Ok I remembered back a while ago I saw an article in mopar magazine about a 6 barrel efi system. It looked pretty cool. The system was installed on a 318 motor that was in a cuda. Seeing as how I am building my stroker motor and I am lookng at all possible options I was curious if anyone had any first hand experience with the company. The name of the company that makes this set-up is f&b performance engineered products. What do you guys think?

What would you like to know? Bruce at F&B works with me to get XFI tunes, and the EZ system for port injection has been very good for those smaller motors. Call Bruce and talk to him.

Thanks to both Bruce and Rich I have collected all the parts to get my system up and ready to go. I just need the time to install the motor in the car. (photobucket is down or I would post some pictures.

The system can handle over 600 hp. I have talked with several people who are running their products and every one of them is happy with the results. Not cheap by any means, but it has the look and drivability I want.

Sorry about the late replies but I am considering the efi set up. I am just concerned with how reliable is it in comparison to a stock efi set up? I will give him a call again.

Throttle bodies don't affect reliability, they"re just air valves. the only failure I have seen is clogged injectors due to the wrong fuel filter being used.

I was under the impression that having a fuel injected motor increases reliability and economy, this isnt accurate?

EFI is more reliable because there are very few moving parts, but you can still clog up the fuel system if you don't have the proper filters, and a clogged filter can quickly allow the fuel pump to burn up. The electronics are really very reliable in all systems. And with engine parameters handled in the software you can get better drivability and better economy. These are the main reasons all OEMS now use EFI even though it costs more.
