Apart from the old Crower units that used a couple of ball bearings and supplied a fixture, I would imagine it would be tricky machining the grooves accurately. Unless you could do it yourself, I would imagine it would be an expensive exercise.

Really? You can pull out a lifter bushing and replace it? I mean can you correct a problem created by lifter bushings, such as too small of oiling holes or if you damage a lifter bushing, can it be replaced?

nothing being done to correct lifter in the bore ??
keyways are a un needed cost for sure

Jesel Keyway lifters are around $2600 plus bushes and installation. Probably around $4K when all said and done. Most of the lifter companies will work with you on changing the link bars if they are proving to be a problem.

My engine builder won't use anything else for high end builds. I guess it depends on the budget and the build. They are the best lifter...hands down. If you don't need the best then they may be throwing money away.
