I purchased a 1971 426 Hemi dual afb fuel lines, but did not come with a diagram of how they all go together. I know this is a dumb question but I cannot seem to find a diagram while looking around for one. I am not familiar with how they route. Thank you!

Out of curiosity, any idea why they take such a convoluted path to the carbs? I mean why they didn't tee them closer and save a few feet of tubing and bending costs. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1343795-scratchchin.gif)
I can't afford this.

edit--> Scott, was there not a thermostatic choke on that year? I can't see bosses on the casting and am not familiar with later assemblies.
The bosses are there, they are partially covered by the manual choke cable hold down linkage that replaced the thermostatic choke base unit. In fact, 1970 Hemi carbs (4742s,4745s,4746s) were actually installed on most 1971 Hemi engines at the factory (likely using up leftover inventory). They simpley unbolted the automatic choke and replaced it with the manual choke parts before stamping the foot with an "M" which is thought to stand for "Modified". Here's a set I recently restored, the foot stampings will be posted next.
