I just wanted to say thanks to hotchkis for giving a couple of great ride alongs in the Emax Challenger during the Carlisle show. It was a hot day and the Challenger was getting driven pretty hard and fast from Mary and (oh no I have forgotten his name) Dan I think, he did the rear diff swap in a hurry so the Challenger could continue getting beat on and impressing riders. Thanks again, it was a great push to get my Challenger back in the shop and finished up.

I did not make it to Carlisle in the last few years. Was it a hotchkis display, or was it an open track?

Due to insurance reasons, only Hotchkis drivers were allowed to drive the course and give rides. We are working with the owners to see about expanding the venue for next year. We don't like hogging all the fun, and we welcome the competition!

I missed Dan, but did get to ride in the E-max. I was happy to get a ride with Mary, as I've heard she doesn't have an inner voice. She didn't dissapoint.
After riding in it, checked in with John and after he said they were like 1.18 or 1.16 bars I'm not afraid of using my 1.22s. Very impressed with the weight transfer on braking. That thing dived when Mary slammed the brakes. RCD bilsteins on the list for eventual improvements.

Sounds like a GREAT EVENT. I missed it but I will attend next year if there is an expanded event.

I had a great time going for a ride in both cars It's amazing that a bolt on kit can make a car that is 40 years old handle like it's a car that was built in 2012! Cant wait to get it all bolted into my dad's 'Cuda

First of all, I want to thank all of the folks at Hotchkis for all of their efforts this year. It took a real leap of faith for them to bring everything from CA to PA. Dan, Mary and Kevin were giving rides all weekend in that heat and they welcomed every passenger from the first to the last each day. What some of you might not know is that John Hotchkis himself was also busy all weekend either manning the booth on the Midway or signing people up for rides at the track. What a friendly and professional crew! As Dan said, for insurance and safety reasons we limited the event to just rides with the Hotchkis drivers. Those of you who were here saw that we don't have a true autocross course. Rather than a large, paved lot we have more of a "road course" with narrow pavement and as little as 30' of grass separating the track from the fence. The last thing anyone wanted was to see someone put their show car in the fence. I look forward to working with the entire Hotchkis crew again next year. Everyone I talked to had a great time and really appreciated the FREE rides. My only regret is not riding in the Autocross Taxi with Kevin Ed

Cuddazappa -- hurry and put in those 1.22 bars.. as I've encouraged to all, especially for an E or B body car, you will NOT regret it. As you know, i have 1.24 tb's in my Chall T/A... set up for national SCCA Solo II competition in class E/Street Prepared (according to their rule book limitations -- very important to follow such "rules" for allowable mods)... and I will repeatedly say that those large TBs were the single best modification I've made to the car (and I progressed in sizes up these "largest of the large" that will fit through the stock anchor opening... but it is an overall "package" of mods that makes the overall difference (plus the "nut behind the wheel"). I appluad the Hotchkiss team and company for doing what they are doing, especially for the Mopar scene.

Hi Ed... was the autocross course held on the rectangular paved track? We had discussed this option before, and perhaps, its the only thing immediately avlbl at the Carlisle site within some spectator view.... it has lots of potential if more pavement were to be added.

@ Mitch - YES, we used the "paved rectangle" that you and I had discussed in the past. It worked fine with professionals @ boydsdodge - Are you talking about the parking lot behind the firehouse where we now have parking and camping? If so, that's a good idea but I don't know if we have enough room with the parking, trailers and campers but I'll look into it. We also have the issue of noise with the neighbors but it's definitely worth looking into. Thanks!! Ed

The Hotchkis crew is a class act. I'd expect nothing less. When are you all gonna have another MOPAR open house?
O and can it be on a weekend where I don't have a test or final because that seems to happen every time...
