Does anybody know what the length of a stock 1972 a body strut rod should be? Im wondering if some one put longer bars in my car maybe out of a b body. My alignment specs out way out of range.

The 67-72 A body strut rods are different than the 73 and up. I believe the 73 up is longer. Also the bushings are different. I bet a mixup occurred, especially if your car was converted to the later disc brake setup. The later strut rods will work in the earlier cars, you just have to use the later bushings also.

They are the earlier fine thread ones that why i thought maybe b or e body. But my caster adjustment is - 4.1 and thats the best i can get it. And the bars are bent i think to try to get it to that spec. I would hate to oder some new ones with out knowing if they are in fact the wrong bars. When i tried to aglin it the one caster was at -8.0 and i got it to -4.1. Something just doesnt seem correct here.
