Hello all, I have a friend who wants to change his '70 Road Runner from manual to power steering and I have a PS column from a '67 B-body. Will the '67 shaft fit in his '70 column? He has a console auto and I'd like to see him keep the original column in the car. 1967 is the first year for the collapsible column and may be an oddball.
Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't even bother trying to mess with it. Just get the right column and be done with it. 67 uses a different type bearing on the bottom of the shaft, and good luck getting an adapter for an aftermarket steering wheel. I finally found one at a boat shop. Don't know if a 70 wheel will bolt up.
