I picked this up at The Swap Meet that was at Englishtown , I have been going for 20+ years selling and not buying much. This time I run across this Race car that has not seen the light of day since like 1980's -the belts are dated 1983 , I was building a Duster just for a race car, since I am putting my Yellow Duster back to street car. I saw this and could not pass it up.

That's really cool! I so badly want to buy a car mostly ready to race like that. Stick an engine in and go racing whenever I have time. The strip is only 30 minutes away.

It was set up for a big block, but I have bunch of small block parts laying around -so I figure put it together and what ever it runs ,it runs. I have 340 block-.040 big dome pistons, eddy heads .620 roller and not sure , but I think I stll have Tunnel Ram -go for that old school car

Awesome! I just love the color scheme and it looks like a lot of the hard work is done.

Awesome looking car but I am not sure those side bars on the cage will pass tech.
They look too high where they are welded on the main hoop.
Might have to change that.

I love it! Tunnel ram 340 would be perfect for that car.

yes I will have to have the roll bar looked at. The was is very nicely put together. I almost 100% sure it was built by Ed Quay Race Cars from PA back in the 70's The tin work has nice bead rolls in it and the chassis work is top notch.
That was what I was thinking a 340 with a tunnel ram and just fixing some of minor body work and leaving the paint work alone. I removed the name a stickers , I am going to have to come up with a name for it and find some old stickers for it. Would love to put a stick in it!

It will be tough to top this deal! After starting to fix up an early A body, the value of a well preserved body went WAY up in my mind, not to mention the car is all set up to race.
