Hi, I have a two old bottles of Auto-RX from about 6-7 years ago. They been sitting in my garage, unopened. ( I live in Texas, so it "gits" hot). I want to go ahead and use them in a old 87 Dodge with a 318 in it and (guessing) about 150,000 miles on it.

Does anyone know if the stuff "goes bad" or breaks down?

My understanding is that it works pretty well.

This from the Auto-RX website:

Quote:

"Can I use Auto-Rx that has been stored in my garage for a long time? Even in summer heat and winter freezes?"

"Yes, hold the bottle under hot tap water for 10 minutes. Shake well, and it will be as good as new! When poured into the oil reservoir, Auto-Rx takes on the viscosity of the motor oil. It does not change the chemistry of the oil."
