Anybody have an idea who made this? Only markings are CD 1.5 on the top.

I've never heard of them. Still in business?

From googling it, it looks like they were bought out/absorbed by crane cams.

Yes, it's a Cam Dynamics / Crane die cast aluminum Energizer needle bearing roller tip rocker arm. The 1.5 ratio would indicate small block Chevy, and these are offered for both 3/8" and 7/16" diameter studs. Regards, Chase

I just got goosebumps. This is a brush with greatness and a reason this board is so good. Chase Knight is the manager of Crane Cams Valvetrain Division and has been with Crane for 40+ years.

I got my first Crane Cams catalog in 1976, it had sort of a flag motif on the cover. I have been buying Crane stuff since 1978. I am currently fitting a set of 833 valvesprings to my budget 318 #302 heads. It's good to have Crane back in the business.

I have a set of similar Ford Performance rockers with dents in the tip rollers, looks like valve float. Is there anything I can do with them besides throw them out?

R.

Thanks for the kind words. In the nearly three years that we've "been back" things have progressed beyond our expectations. On the other matter, your Ford rockers have probably run their course. The axle for the roller tip has an internal circlip that locks the axle in place during assembly. More often than not, pressing the axle out will break the rocker body, defeating the rebuilding process. Regards, Chase
