checked everything i could except the 6al. finally looked inside the cap. dah, green brass contacts. i think that is the problem. cap isn't that old. anyone else have this issue? maybe some dielectric grease will stop the corrosion. anyone know if a small hole in the cap will help? it's a chev style cap with a window. thanks for ur time.

i put a new cap & rotor on for the world finals. so it's not that old. what size hole should i drill in the cap for a vent.

Mine has about 3/16" hole in it but it has a cap to
keep rain out.... I would think 1/8" is fine

Thats the only bad thing about the bass contacts. If it is that bad,it would not take much for a rotor to arc to the wrong terminal, especially if the rotor phasing is off.
I would think 1/8" hole would be plenty. Not sure on the dielectric grease,I have used WD40 before though with good results.
