Does anyone know if you need a gasket between the oil pump and block? I have heard it is optional. I'm bolting a high volume pump on the 360 in the Challenger, and the new pump didn't include the gasket.

Thank in advance.

Ron

If you have one you can use it if you want to. Most came from the factory with none. They weren't much of a gasket.

HV pump is unecessary.

It's just insurance. I have put in flat top pistons, performer RPM intake, taller cam, Mallory ignition, and higher stall converter. Next is Edelbrock heads.
