I have an MSD front drive on one car and a Jesel on the other. Not sure if there is any improvements you can make to them. They really are very rudimentary. Since they are all crank trigger pieces there just is not much too them and no need to adjust them really. Just set it up once and be done with it.

I recall reading on Speedtalk that a few guys had issues with the Jesel units cross firing because of attaching hardware in the distributor, or something to that effect anyway. It was quite a few years ago. Jesel was using a Mallory cap etc for their units. Not sure if they are now. I have one down in the garage, there really isn't a lot to them.
