Welcome aboard! are you referring to the idle solenoid under the center carb linkage?

Yes, I am. It doesn't move when the key is on. Is it suppose to?

WOW !! I goggled this for an hour. Got more info here on this subject than I ever imagined. Thank you everyone!!!! Now I see how this is suppose to work.
I will try to figure out how to post some pics of it. Been a 12 year project. Yes, 12 years, but its done and its home. Long story.

Not moving when the key is on. What should I check? Anyone know what it should ohm out at? Is it just 12 volts? Is there a fuse for it?

it's 12 volts and doesn't have a seperate fuse. i would run a test wire from your battery and bump the power terminal to verify it's working.

And if it has power it still wont work unless the throttle is open enough to take pressure of the plunger. The solenoid wont lift the arm,it is designed to hold the arm up after the arm is lifted and solenoid engaged.
