Im putting a msd box on my new yorker to dit ch leanburn. What im wondering is on the small red wire. The directions say to hook it to the cars coil pos. Wire. Now being as im tryong to bypass the leanburn, can i still hook it to this wire? Or should i find another switched 12v source?

Thanks!

It's just a trigger for a relay any switched 12v + will do.

Don't forget to swap out the distributor- the leanburn ones are locked out. Some carbs have electronic enrichment and run like doo-doo without the LB computer. I did the conversion on my /6 pickup a few years ago.

thanks radar, I have the vacuum advance distrib to toss in as well as a new edelbrock carb to put on. I need to run a 1/2" spacer to let it work, since the throttle linkage was hitting on the stock intake.
