Dave Wise's fastener book is worth every nickel.

The bolt used from 70-72 is a screw less than an inch long.

But contrary to what the book says, they are black zinc, not siver zinc.

I've seen both but black zinc is more common

Thans for the comments. The color has been updates about 1 year because both finishes (phosphate and zinc) have been found.
