As some already know and the reason i'm not at St Louis MMW mixing it up with the 10.5 guys is my engine.

Long story short...I bought a engine off racing junk with(supposedly)14 passes from a guy in Maryland,built by a well known MOPAR engine builder from up north...I even called and talked to engine builder personally and veryfied everything

My first clue should have been having to rebuild the 1.7 Jesel rockers...

Found no ring seal on dyno..

3 rods had been replaced(not all 8)..

crankshaft had been turned and all over the board..

center main cap replaced and not line honed...

Motor was junk and needed pistons,rods,crank turned,heads worked over,etc,etc..I'm not mad or slamming anyone,but damn these so called MOPAR engine gurus need to get there head out of their [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean]!!!!

I have bought two complete engines and was lucky with both of them. Both where BBs. Not so sure I would do it again, i think i would be pushing my luck.

Good all is well again. A similar deal happened to me...After 40 years of saying I would never buy a used race motor I did and got burnt. I thought the seller was a stand up guy but now realize he was full of shiiiit.Buyer beware.

Thats the chance we take when buying second or third hand racing equiptment...evry time im on racing junk im so tempted to buy a complete mill, but this is wat stops me.id rather screw up my own build lol......unless its a crazy deal that I could afford to tear down...anyway super glad you got things sorted!!! Get that thing installed and hoss the gas a few times I guarentee youll forget about all the,probs uv had with it, cheers!
