I have two of them and one has slap stick printed on the bottom of it and the other does not? If I had to guess I would say the early cars may not have had it but I am not sure. Bought the car when it was 6 mos. old, so I'm reasonably sure the shifter is original to the car, and it has the Slap Stik lettering.
