I have a couple 70 E body shifters and one has Slap Stick printed on it and the other does not? This is a pic of the one that does not. Any one know why?

Did you try the google search function on this site? I know it's been discussed before. I think the very early ones didn't say anything. Then it went to "shift gate" and finally "slap stik"

Looking on BE&A's website they list two shifter lenses. One that doesn't say anything and one that says slap stik.
