6bblgt I Live Here Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 17,529 Las Vegas, NV	There are NO partial VIN#s stamped on the trunk lip of ANY & ALL E-bodies. ("fastback" A-bodies, '71-'74 B-bodies and others as well) Stamped numbers YES, but not VIN related.

They must be doing alot of re-stamping in California these days. Probably out of work B body guys bufuddled or hung over mistakingly confusing E bodies with B bodies.
