I purchased a 1969 water pump housing but it did not come with any bolts. I want to use stainless steel bolts for the housing and water pump. I see that there are many bolt kits online but I would rather just go to the local hardware shop and buy bolts. Does anybody know what length and size I would I need. I believe that they are all 3/8".

Thank you for your help!

yes 3/8" bolts. You want 1/2" ~5/8" of thread engagement into the block. measure the housing dimentions & dont forget the gasket thickness
