ramcharger1964 OP member Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 89 oregon	This has been popping up on my motor for the last 2 years and I cant figure it out. During a full throttle pass (street or strip) the throttle sticks open. Makes for a exiting slowdown at the end of the track. I have checked the carbs (dual eddy 800's) and they appear fine. Springs are correct, butterfly's close all the way, no clearance problems.....sticks open about 4k rpm and I have to flutter the pedal to bring it back down (sometimes it does not want to come down)This is a new 496 (under 300 mi). Anyone ever had this happen to them? Hell B!tch Racing Co.

If that does not solve your problem,check and make sure your linkage at full throttle is not over center(BINDING)some time with dual carbs you have to play around with the adjustment to get them to work freely. maximum entropy master M Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 5,080 organ	i wouldn't be surprised if that engine is moving a lot more than you think it is. that sticking under load is a clue- run with it. for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?
