streetkit OP pro stock S Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,456 Northern CA	Friend of mine is looking at Neons for his kid's first car. I know the older neon had head gasket issues, but when was that issue resolved? What model years would he want to stay away from? Thanks 1973 Dodge D100

HotRodDave I Live Here H Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 12,419 Kalispell Mt.	95-99 were junk, lots have been upgraded with the MLS gasket (standard after 00) witch you can clearly see with a quick look under the hood. If you look where the head gasket edge is, follow along till you see a bump sticking out with a rivet to hold the layers together. I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!
