jamesc master J Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 5,875 communist bloc of new jersey	there's a number of different configurations but the one you are referring to probably has a terminal for a idiot light and key on. if that's the case it should be terminal number two and this would be the on/off for the alternator. these are most often Denso (Nippondenso) alternators and usually have some form of terminal identification. do some web searching and you should be able to confirm the connections.
